Dog the Bounty Hunter Show loses Advertisers

Dog the Bounty HunterAs if this couldn’t get any worse for Dog the Bounty Hunter.  It’s been reported over at Absolutely Fa-bulo.us that Dog has now lost the advertisers to his show on A&E.

Here is what some of the advertisers are saying:

Some of the commentary from advertisers:

“A&E should wash their hands of this guy. Dog’s rant has personally disrupted my faith in people, and we will never associate any of our brands with any forum that supports racism in any way. As far as we’re concerned, the only way A&E will be in our ad budget next year is if they dump the Dog. This goes far beyond what Don Imus said on MSNBC, and they fired him immediately.”

“We wanted to launch our new TV spots for 2008 on A&E and on Dog’s show in particular,” Perry explained.

“He was a hero of mine until I heard a tape of him spewing racist remarks as if it meant nothing. I’m disgusted by him. He used the (N-word) multiple times in the most hateful way you could ever imagine. That’s when I decided to dump his show from our marketing plans,”

Virginia Ferguson, a spokesperson for Yum! Brands, Inc. said: “It’s despicable and we are no longer advertising the show.”

And when Dr. Kenneth Frank, owner of Dr. Frank’s pain relief, learned about the racial slurs made by “The Dog,” he vowed to pull ads for his several products off the show!

“My company does not condone that type of language because it breeds hatred, especially when it’s used in the context it was within their family,” Dr. Frank said.

“When we learned about the telephone tapes, we contacted our media-buying company and placed a restriction that our ads not appear during that program.”

I myself, think this is really harsh - I mean no Dog shouldn’t have said what he said - hell, no one should be saying ni**er anymore - no one.  But you know we’re all not perfect either.  I think Dog should get a second chance.

I don’t see the future looking to great for Dog and his show on A&E TV, but I also hold on that there would be a second chance for Dog.  What do you think?

FOX! I never watch FOX, but I will start watching you channel if you bring the dog to your station.

If you judge someone harshly and crucify him, you will be shown no mercy and thus will be judge the same way.

    Bring the DOG home!

Allow the dog to learn from his mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. No one black, white, red, brown can say they have never made a mistake.

He is a christian. An imperfect christian just like all of us. Anyone who says he is not a christian has just doomed himself. Do not judge or you will be judge 100 times more. Let him heal and teach other what he has learned. We can learn from his mistakes and his accomplishment. Do not condem!!

    Bring the DOG home!

Dog & his family have shown compassion & love for those members of society that most others look down upon or even fail to see. For A&E to milk the show for all its worth, then fail to support Dog during this time of turmoil is much worse than anything heard on that tape. No one is politically correct 24/7. I bet the execs at A&E hope their personal phone conversations with family & friends are never aired on national TV.

There is alot of stuff out there about the Chapman family that is not being released. If it was released you may change your feelings regarding the Chapman family, especially for Dog and Beth.
